A child and a cat rest their chins on the same stone ledge, side by side, both looking straight out. The cat's amber eye and the child's dark one sit at almost exactly the same height, which is the whole point of the picture. Artur holds the palette to greys and warm skin tones and paints the stone in loose horizontal strokes so nothing competes with the two faces. Painted small, on hard recycled canvas at 14.5 by 21cm.
