Crying widow

A seated figure turns away, head bowed into a raised arm, the pose carrying the whole picture. Michele builds the body from ribbons of red, yellow, blue and green laid side by side, with a single dark line holding the contour together. The background is left almost bare, a soft warm white, and a band of green at the base gives the figure something to sit on. Part of her series of 100 by 70cm acrylics.
