Cloud takes up three quarters of the canvas, peach and slate stacked above a low dark headland, with wet sand below repeating all of it in softer form. Pamela builds the sky in dry broken layers so the texture of the canvas keeps coming through, then lays the foreground on almost flat. Square at 50 by 50cm, and the largest of her three coastal pieces here.
