A long empty beach under a soft grey and peach sky, with a dark headland running out to the left and small waves turning over at the right. Pamela keeps the tonal range very narrow, so the picture sits almost entirely in mid-tones and only the surf is allowed to go properly white. Landscape format, 40 by 30cm, and the most restrained of her paintings here.
