Figures & Scenes
The largest group in the collection and the broadest. What holds it together is that a person is the subject, whether or not you ever see their face.

More about these works
A good deal of it is deliberately faceless. Lady in Red walks away from you. Shy turns her back entirely. Spanish Dancer is seen from behind with one arm extended out of the frame. Flamenco Dancer is caught mid-turn against near total black with no floor, no room and no audience, so the light on the shoulders carries the whole picture.
Community is the outlier and the most unusual work here. Dozens of standing figures wrapped in pale blankets, painted in greys and black so the crowd reads as pattern first and as people second.

Every work at Rama Gallery is a one-of-a-kind original, so once a piece sells it is gone. If something here is marked sold, the artist may take a commission for similar work. Get in touch.
